We sat down with our Melbourne Senior Designer Tony (albeit over Zoom) to ask him some design questions and get to know him a little more. He has some stories to tell, with a breadth of experience in the renovation industry and 20 years with Creative by Design, marking the milestone in 2020.
What gets you up in the morning, Tony?

What motivates you as a designer?
My motivation has always been to help my clients create fabulous storage solutions as well as beautiful furniture.
What’s the best part of what you do?
I would say the best part of what I do is building those relationships with my clients. Working on inspiring projects with them and building that trust – that’s what gets amazing results in the end.
What keeps you inspired?
My inspiration comes from renovation programs, architectural magazines, and a love of design in all forms.
A recent project you’re really proud of?
I recently worked with some clients who had no concept of what they needed, but they knew they needed something – a solution to the storage issue they were having. I created a fabulous storage solution for CDs, books and display items, a home office as well as wardrobe storage. The cabinetry was simple but very effective. The clients loved the end result and wrote us an amazing review. It doesn’t get better than that!

Your best design advice?
My design advice is to keep it simple.
